To everyone who has passed the "Nivell Bàsic" and will be doing 3rd. level next year.

To everyone who has come regularly to class and has learnt something.

To everyone who understands that learning a language is a long journey. It is demanding and sometimes difficult, but always rewarding. If you haven't passed, you just need a bit more of time or effort to do it.

To everyone who didn't leave the course after one week because you didn't like the teacher...

Enjoy the summer and hope to see you next year!!!

Writing exam

Please remember that on Thursday we have class as usual (we'll do some speaking practice and revision of unit 8). On the second half of the class, we'll have the writing exam (a composition). Just to let you know that it can be a letter or a narrative, and there's only one option (you can't choose from different options).
Please remember:
  • Plan your composition before you start writing.
  • You have limited time (50 mins.).
  • Say what you know how to say and think very carefully before you write!
  • Never translate directly from your language.

Homework

Last week of class!!
For today we have the following homework, as you know:
  • 6B, page 67: Reading (6)
  • Revision 6 (pages 74-75)
  • 8A, pages88-89: Reading (1), Grammar (2) and Vocabulary (4).
See you later!!!

Composition 4

Feeling much better, my dear students, so we'll definitely meet next week as usual.
Please don't forget to do your homework, since we'll spend some time checking and working on what I asked you to do at home.
There's one final composition you have to do before the end of the course (remember the writing exam is on the 21st., so if you want your corrections you have to send it to me a few days before that):
  • Write a story of about 150 words using the following sentence: "... and when I finally found my car, I couldn't remember where I had my car keys!"
Please don't do it if you haven't done all the previous compositions.
See you on Monday!

I have to stay in bed...

My doctor has advised me to stay at home for a few days, so I don't know when we can resume our classes (maybe on Thursday, or next week).
While we have no classes, please follow my directions on this classblog.
Please do as follows:

Remember you also have a pack with exam practice!!!
