Writing exam

Please remember that on Thursday we have class as usual (we'll do some speaking practice and revision of unit 8). On the second half of the class, we'll have the writing exam (a composition). Just to let you know that it can be a letter or a narrative, and there's only one option (you can't choose from different options).
Please remember:
  • Plan your composition before you start writing.
  • You have limited time (50 mins.).
  • Say what you know how to say and think very carefully before you write!
  • Never translate directly from your language.

Homework

Last week of class!!
For today we have the following homework, as you know:
  • 6B, page 67: Reading (6)
  • Revision 6 (pages 74-75)
  • 8A, pages88-89: Reading (1), Grammar (2) and Vocabulary (4).
See you later!!!

Composition 4

Feeling much better, my dear students, so we'll definitely meet next week as usual.
Please don't forget to do your homework, since we'll spend some time checking and working on what I asked you to do at home.
There's one final composition you have to do before the end of the course (remember the writing exam is on the 21st., so if you want your corrections you have to send it to me a few days before that):
  • Write a story of about 150 words using the following sentence: "... and when I finally found my car, I couldn't remember where I had my car keys!"
Please don't do it if you haven't done all the previous compositions.
See you on Monday!

I have to stay in bed...

My doctor has advised me to stay at home for a few days, so I don't know when we can resume our classes (maybe on Thursday, or next week).
While we have no classes, please follow my directions on this classblog.
Please do as follows:
  • worksheet 5B (I gave it to you when we practised "to-infinitives").
  • File 5C (pages 56-57): 1 (grammar), 3 (reading) and 5 (vocabulary).
  • Page 59: 4 (reading).
  • Revision Unit 5 (pages 62-63).
Remember you also have a pack with exam practice!!!

HOPE TO BE BACK SOON!!!

Sorry, I've got a cold!

I'm sorry to tell you I can't come to class today since I've got a cold (maybe Mexican flu... I hope not!), you know, with a temperature, a cough, etc.
Please remember you had some homework that we will check tomorrow (hopefully!):
  • Review unit 7 (pages 86-87)
  • File 5B, ex. 1 & 2 (page 54)
  • exercise 2 in the worksheet about "ask/tell +to infinitive"
I hope to see you tomorrow!!
